In our recent letter to the new Premier of New Brunswick, we address a crucial issue for New Brunswickers: accessible, equitable abortion care. We highlight the CCLA’s ongoing Charter challenge against Regulation 84-20, which limits funding for abortion services to hospitals only, excluding clinics. Recognizing the Premier’s campaign commitment to improve reproductive healthcare access, we urge swift action to amend this regulation and expand options for surgical abortion across the province. We’re hopeful for progress in securing accessible healthcare for all New Brunswickers.
