Working with Our Fundraising Partners

The Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) and Canadian Civil Liberties Education Trust (CCLET) work with trusted fundraising partners to raise the support needed to advance our advocacy work and education programs that focus on protecting rights and freedoms across Canada.

Face-to-Face Fundraising

CCLET is currently working with the professional fundraising agency Public Outreach. We have personally trained our face-to-face fundraisers to be passionate ambassadors for CCLET, providing them with in-depth training about our history and CCLET’s innovative education programs.

You may meet one of our fundraising partners on the street if you live in Toronto. These fundraisers speak directly with members of the public to raise awareness about CCLET and invite people to support our work by becoming monthly donors.

How Can You Tell if a Fundraiser is Legitimate?

Our fundraisers can be easily identified by their CCLET-branded t-shirts,. They will use secure electronic tablets to collect donor information and do not accept cash gifts.

Why Monthly Donations?

Monthly donations are the steady support our education programs rely on. With reliable contributions from monthly donors, we can:

• Continue to provide free innovative workshops and classroom programs to both students and adults
• Develop new resources for educators and students
• Reach more communities with conversations about rights, freedoms, and democracy

The Sign-Up Process

When you choose to become a monthly donor through one of our fundraisers, your information is entered into a secure, encrypted tablet system. When you sign up with a credit card, your first donation is processed immediately, and you will receive confirmation on the spot.

To ensure accuracy and security, new monthly donors also receive a confirmation phone call from our trusted verification centre.
