Sign our petition! Tell our governments we need human rights and privacy protection for employees, legislative prohibitions on the disclosure of non-conviction information, and a centralized screening mechanism for the vulnerable sector.
Write to your local police service. Ask them if they are one of the ones that releases non-conviction records (if they are an RCMP detachment, or a police service in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta or Manitoba, chances are they do). Tell them you want them to stop releasing this information - we'll help get you started with a template email.
