Bien que l'ACLC approuve les objectifs d\u00e9clar\u00e9s du projet de loi C-63 consistant \u00e0 garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 publique, \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les enfants et \u00e0 soutenir les communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es, nous sommes d'avis que ce projet de loi, dans sa forme actuelle, permet des violations flagrantes de la libert\u00e9 d'expression, de la vie priv\u00e9e, des droits de protestation et de la libert\u00e9. . Cela porte \u00e9galement atteinte aux principes fondamentaux de responsabilit\u00e9 d\u00e9mocratique et d\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 proc\u00e9durale en accordant des pouvoirs \u00e9tendus \u00e0 la nouvelle Commission sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 num\u00e9rique. Il est crucial que les parlementaires et le public disposent de suffisamment de temps pour rem\u00e9dier correctement aux nombreuses lacunes de ce projet de loi.<\/p>\n

Les parties deux et trois du projet de loi soul\u00e8vent des inqui\u00e9tudes concernant les mesures de peine disproportionn\u00e9es, les effets dissuasifs sur la libert\u00e9 d'expression, ainsi que les inefficacit\u00e9s pratiques. C'est pourquoi, le 7 mai 2024, l'ACLC s'est jointe \u00e0 un appel lanc\u00e9 par des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, des universitaires et des experts pour demander au gouvernement de s\u00e9parer les parties deux et trois du projet de loi afin qu'elles puissent \u00eatre soumises \u00e0 un examen parlementaire ind\u00e9pendant, et donc \u00e0 un examen minutieux. et une large consultation publique qu'ils m\u00e9ritent.<\/p>\n
