La cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9 est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale, et l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me num\u00e9rique dans lequel nous vivons de plus en plus doit \u00eatre s\u00fbr, fiable et prot\u00e9g\u00e9 contre les menaces. La cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9 est \u00e9galement cruciale pour nos institutions d\u00e9mocratiques, l\u2019\u00e9conomie, les infrastructures critiques, la d\u00e9fense nationale et la confidentialit\u00e9 de notre vie en ligne. Il est important que le Canada prenne des mesures pour prot\u00e9ger les fondements num\u00e9riques sur lesquels repose la vie moderne. Cependant, dans sa forme actuelle, le projet de loi C-26 risque de porter atteinte \u00e0 nos droits \u00e0 la vie priv\u00e9e, \u00e0 une proc\u00e9dure r\u00e9guli\u00e8re et aux principes de gouvernance responsable, qui font tous partie du tissu m\u00eame de notre d\u00e9mocratie.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Ce m\u00e9moire formule des recommandations sur la fa\u00e7on dont le projet de loi C-26 peut am\u00e9liorer la fa\u00e7on dont le gouvernement et les entreprises de t\u00e9l\u00e9communications d\u00e9finissent, traitent et prot\u00e8gent les renseignements personnels des individus et prot\u00e8gent ainsi le droit des individus \u00e0 la vie priv\u00e9e.
