Le 2 f\u00e9vrier, l'ACLC compara\u00eetra en tant qu'intervenant devant la Cour d'appel de l'Ontario pour faire valoir que l'annulation anticip\u00e9e du projet pilote de revenu de base a caus\u00e9 des privations et des pr\u00e9judices aux personnes marginalis\u00e9es d'une mani\u00e8re qui devrait \u00eatre reconnue comme un chartes<\/em> violation.<\/p>\n

Le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 par le gouvernement pour \u00e9tudier si le fait de fournir un revenu de base garanti sur trois ans conduirait \u00e0 une am\u00e9lioration de la sant\u00e9 mentale, de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire, de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'emploi, de l'\u00e9ducation et d'autres facteurs pour les personnes participant \u00e0 l'\u00e9tude. Les participants \u00e0 cette \u00e9tude de recherche humaine ont \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9s \u00e0 renoncer \u00e0 leur vie priv\u00e9e et \u00e0 apporter des changements importants \u00e0 leur vie afin de participer. L'annulation anticip\u00e9e du projet leur a caus\u00e9 des dommages importants.<\/p>\n

Lors d'une audience cette semaine, l'ACLC soutiendra que le chartes<\/em> est l\u00e0 pour prot\u00e9ger tout le monde, y compris (et surtout) les membres les plus marginalis\u00e9s de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, et que les pr\u00e9judices caus\u00e9s par l'annulation du projet doivent \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme une section 7 chartes<\/em> violation qui m\u00e9rite une audience compl\u00e8te devant un tribunal comp\u00e9tent.<\/p>\n

L'audience de mercredi (Bowman contre Ontario<\/em>) est un appel d'une d\u00e9cision d'un tribunal inf\u00e9rieur de refuser la certification d'un recours collectif dans cette affaire.<\/p>\n
