Le Projet de loi 596 transporte devant l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale un d\u00e9bat de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 urgent au sujet des p\u00e9rils auxquels la clause d\u00e9rogatoire expose notre r\u00e9gime qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de protection des droits de la personne.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis plusieurs mois, l\u2019ACLC et d\u2019autres acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise tels que le Barreau du Qu\u00e9bec et la Ligue des droits et libert\u00e9s sonnent l\u2019alarme au sujet de l\u2019usage croissant et pr\u00e9ventif de la clause d\u00e9rogatoire par le gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p>Loin d\u2019\u00eatre un outil n\u00e9cessaire pour prot\u00e9ger le caract\u00e8re distinct du Qu\u00e9bec au sein du Canada, cette clause permet plut\u00f4t au gouvernement de priver, sans justification, certain.es Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.es de droits humains de base.<\/p>\n<p>La mont\u00e9e de r\u00e9gimes autoritaires dans le monde, y compris le rapide effondrement de la d\u00e9mocratie \u00e9tats-unienne, confirme l\u2019importance de protections robustes pour les droits de la personne.
