Les commentaires du premier ministre Ford selon lesquels l'ind\u00e9pendance judiciaire est une \"plaisanterie\" et les juges n'ont pas de l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 parce qu'ils ne sont pas \u00e9lus sont profond\u00e9ment alarmants.<\/p>\n

Le respect de l'ind\u00e9pendance du pouvoir judiciaire et de l'\u00c9tat de droit est n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de justice p\u00e9nale \u00e9quitable au Canada et prot\u00e8ge l'ensemble de nos droits et libert\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Le fait est qu'il est plus difficile que jamais d'obtenir une lib\u00e9ration sous caution en Ontario. Environ 80% des personnes d\u00e9tenues dans les prisons de l'Ontario se sont vu refuser la libert\u00e9 sous caution et attendent leur proc\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

L'ACLC r\u00e9it\u00e8re son appel au gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des provinces et des territoires, pour qu'il recueille des donn\u00e9es compl\u00e8tes sur le syst\u00e8me de mise en libert\u00e9 sous caution. La r\u00e9forme des politiques et des lois doit \u00eatre bas\u00e9e sur des preuves solides, et non sur des phrases toutes faites.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t
